Also in the wintertime, there are still plenty things to do in the area of Les Petits Ecrins! Skiing, of course, but not only. Activities in and around Champsaur-Valgaudemar are very different from those practicable during summer, but remain not less enjoyable. Here is the overview of the main winter activities that you can do during your stay at Les Petits Ecrins!
SKI
Downhill skiing, cross-country skiing or even ski touring, you will find no less than 5 ski resorts within 45-minutes’ drive from Les Petits Ecrins! Some of them are ranked among the biggest ski resorts of Southern Alps, such as SuperDévoluy and Orcières-Merlette, guaranteeing an exceptional snow rate all winter long!
SNOWSHOEING TOUR
Let yourself be tempted by an unusual walk! Dozens of kilometres of snowshoe hiking trails are available in the valley of Champsaur-Valgaudemar and in the surroundings!
ICE SKATING
For a perfect sliding experience, go to Pont du Fossé to enjoy its 720m² ice ring open 7 days a week from December to March. Skate rentals are available on site for children and adults.
DOG SLEDDING
Orcières, Ancelle or Saint-Léger-Les-Mélèzes offer dog sled rides: an experience to be enjoyed with family or friends!
